The Oceanside Pier:

The Oceanside pier is one of the longest piers on the West Coast, stretching an awe-inspiring 1,942 feet out into the Pacific Ocean. At the end of the pier you will find the famous Ruby's Diner, perfect for a casual meal above the waves!

You can spend all day at the pier, swimming, surfing, exploring local restaurants, or taking in a concert at the amphitheater.

Oceanside Farmers' Market & Sunset Market:

Every Thursday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM The Oceanside Farmer's Market fills Pier View Way with organic produce, gourmet baked goods, unique art and apparel, and lots of other local offerings you won't find anywhere else.
If you're busy in the morning, visit the Sunset Market instead, Thursday from 5:00-9:00 PM!

Coaster:

The Coaster commuter train is one of easiest ways to see more of the Southern California coast. The Coaster train line begins in Oceanside and makes eight stops, ending in San Diego. The entire route takes about an hour - that's one hour of incredible ocean views!

Oceanside Harbor and Harbor Beach:

Oceanside Harbor is a hub of coastal fun and adventure. Rent a paddleboat or kayak, take some surfing lessons, or sample local seafood at one of the Harbor Village restaurants.

Locals call Harbor Beach a "hidden gem," excellent for surfing, and with fire pits and a playground making this beach a great spot for families.

California Surf Museum

Ever wondered how surfing got started in the United States? Visit the California Surf Museum in Oceanside and find out! In the California Surf Museum you will find stories and exhibits chronicling the history of surfing, including the board and bodysuit of well-known surfer Bethany Hamilton.

Mission San Luis Rey:

Sometimes called the "king of the missions," Mission San Luis Rey is the largest of the 21 California missions. Stunning architecture, beautiful gardens, and lots of California history combine to make this historic mission a must-visit.

Come in spring or early summer when the gardens are in full bloom, or sign up for one of the mission's "Quiet Days " to spend a peaceful day away from it all.
