Local Fireworks Shows

Looking for fireworks? Nearly every city in Orange County hosts a fireworks spectacular on their own turf every year, so check local listings to get all the details!

At the top of our go-to list this year is the Dana Point July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza ! We are especially excited about this fireworks show because along with a glittering show, Dana Point’s KSBR 88.5FM plays synchronized music to the patriotic fireworks. Fireworks can be viewed from a variety of spots in Dana Point: Find more details here . Be sure to use the free shuttle bus service to and from Dana Hills School to Dana Point Harbor from 10am to 11:30pm to avoid difficult parking. Fireworks start at 9pm and end at 11pm.

Grand Park 4th of July Block Party in LA

Looking for a bit more adventure? Enjoy being out with a crowd on the holidays? Like hip-hop, house, and world music? Pack a light picnic and head to the block party at Grand Park in LA! This event features musical artists from 2:00 to 9:30 when the fireworks start.

There are events and crafts for kids too, including facepainting, bracelet making, and an opportunity to decorate the "love bus." Take a look at the Grand Park website for rules about what you can and can't bring into the park to keep this event fun, safe, and family-friendly.

Annual Brea Country Fair

We love the idea of experiencing both the old and new at this Country Fair, hosted by the city of Brea and held at City Hall Park . With Old Fashioned inspired activities all day long, this family friendly event is perfect for an educational and entertaining Fourth of July. And, since it's a daytime event it's perfect for families with young kids who need and early bedtime, or who might be scared by the loud noises and flashes of fireworks.

The day begins with a Pancake Breakfast at 7am and the Country Fair opens at 9am, and then ends at 3pm. Along with a kiddie parade, teen fun area, pie eating and hula hoop contests, car show, market place, and petting zoo, there are lots of activities to delve into at the Country Fair, and best of all, it is free! Check out the Special Events page on the City of Brea website for more details.
