Top 4th of July Events in Southern California 2018

Long Beach:

Come experience an All American 4th of July aboard the Queen Mary! This ship-wide event starts at 2:00 and includes games, entertainment, arts and crafts, tours, and more that will delight the whole family. The event wraps up with the Queen Mary's signature fireworks spectacular, a dazzling display you won't want to miss!

You've never had a 4th like this! Enjoy a festive family friendly BBQ and late night access at the Aquarium until 10:00 PM! You'll love strolling through Southern California's largest aquarium, home to over 11,000 ocean creatures, and you'll also be able to watch the Queen Mary's Fireworks display!

Dana Point:
There are plenty of awesome fireworks displays to choose from in Southern California, but the fireworks extravaganza put on by the city of Dana Point at Doheny Beach is one of the best! Enjoy a day at the beach, watch the sunset, and then get ready for an incredible show beginning at 8:45.

A sunset cruise in Dana Point is worth booking at any time of year, but it's even more fun for the 4th of July! Spend the evening on the water on the Ocean Institute's Sea Explorer and watch the fireworks from the water!

Huntington Beach
Huntington Beach pulls out all the stops when it comes to the 4th of July. Surf City celebrates the holiday with a pancake breakfast, parade, 5k run, festival, and of course an over the top fireworks display! No wonder Travel and Leisure named it one of the best beaches in the U.S. to celebrate 4th of July!

Laguna Beach:
Fireworks at Monument Point:
Laguna Beach is known for its natural beauty, so when that gorgeous coastline is lit up by bursts of light and color, that's something you don't want to miss! Fireworks start at 9:00 pm.
If you enjoy Newport Beach's Holiday Boat parade, make sure to check out the "Old Glory" boat parade! This patriotic procession of boats begins at 1:00 and will get you in the spirit of the holiday!
Hornblower Cruises gives you the opportunity to witness all the festivities in Newport Beach from the water! Enjoy a luxurious brunch experience on the Old Glory Boat Parade Brunch Cruise, or hop on board for the magical Fireworks Dining Cruise! Either way, it will be a day to remember!
Newport Dunes is tons of fun any day of the year, with kayaks, hydro bikes, electric boats, and more watersports making the calm waters of the Back Bay the perfect destination for relaxation and vacation adventure! On July 4th there's even MORE to enjoy at Newport Dunes, with food trucks, a full bar, and of course lots and lots of entertainment! Check out the details and plan your visit- you'll be glad you did!
San Clemente is one of our favorite places to celebrate the 4th of July! This charming Spanish Village by the Sea is our hometown, and it's a beautiful place to celebrate any special occasion. Fireworks at the pier begin at 9PM, but claim your favorite beach spot early to watch the display.
4th of July at LEGOLAND is sure to be a hit with the whole family! Enjoy all American picnic games throughout the park, including water balloon tosses, burlap sack races, the LEGO Hamburger relay, and more! Participate in the patriotic costume display, watch special performances, and end the night with spectacular fireworks!

Oceanside:
Visit Oceanside Harbor to watch a festive parade of dingys - or enter yourself! There is no entry fee! The parade begins at 1:00 and awards are given out for best decorated boats around 3 pm.
Before or after the Dinghy parade, visit Oceanside Beach & Pier for a patriotic day by the sea. Food and retail vendors will be in attendance, along with a variety of booths and activities for the whole family.

NOTE: Oceanside's fireworks display is on July 3rd! Gather friends and family to enjoy local eats, live music, and dazzling fireworks!
